2024, a replica is built from scratch with new chassis by Marchesi

Sad story is Vin number 205, I have known the owner Patrick Canavese for 20 years and I contacted him to get correct and precise information on his car.

He told me “It was the most beautiful and orignal in the world ever restored.”

I asked him to come see this treasure and the owner’s voice started to tremble, he told me that he was not interested in showing me the car, that the car was not for sale and that he did not want to share his treasure.

It took me an hour to learn from my corsican friends that the 037 Vin 205 had burned in 2022 in the corsican rallye, that the last special stage had to be canceled and that only part of the front of the car had not burned ! Car was destroy completely !

In 2023 I found out that a complete new car was built by the Marchesi company in Modena using a Monte Carlo body provided by Canavese !
