My name is Justin Birt and I’m trying to trace my old Mangusta which I used to own in the late 1970’s. The car was chassis No 8MA1220, it was originally metallic green and I had it resprayed in BMW Henna Red with Gold wheels, it’s still shown on the UK Gov website for MOT’s etc as unmot’d or taxed but still registered with DVLA Reg No RYE 502 R. During my ownership the steering wheel and about 12 inches of the steering column came off in my hand as I was manoeuvring it out of my garage!! it took nearly 12 months to get a new steering column from De Tomaso by which time I’d shipped the car from my home in Saundersfoot in South Wales to a friends garage in Sutton Coldfield for repair, from where I sold the car via Exchange & Mart to a gentleman from somewhere up in Northern England. I’m just wondering where it is now, are you able to help?
