This is a 1969 build date 2-Headlight Mangusta model.

Color = Green Pea

One of the most gorgeous shaped to ever grace four wheels, the De Tomaso Mangusta is impossibly rare and after almost 45 years, still stunningly seductive. Meaning “Mongoose” in Italian, the Mangusta was the first car of De Tomaso to see mass production, if a total of 401 units can be considered “mass.” Powered by a high-performance 302 cubic inch Ford V-8 producing well in excess of 300 horsepower, the big V-8 is backed by the same ZF 5-speed transaxle used in the famed Ford GT-40 racers. Top speed is estimated at 155 m.p.h. and with a total height of only 43 inches, the sensation of speed is further magnified. The Mangusta rides on 15” Campagnolo cast-magnesium wheels, hulking beneath aggressively flared fenders, and a fastback tail with a distinctive dorsal rib on which twin engine access covers are hinged gullwing-style. The images speak for themselves: this car is breathtaking. The car has all original glass which is in excellent condition and the body is also in exceptional shape with no rust to be found anywhere. The investment potential of this amazingly rare Italian exotic is immense. According to London based investment research firm, Historic Automobile Group International, classic cars have appreciated an average of 13-percent per year since 1980 – while stocks averaged 11-percent over the same period.
