Vin number 203 (red color) was a Gr B test prototype sold at the end of the rallye 1985 season to Paolo Baggio who also owned Vin 073 (white color) and 308 (white color).

The 1985 season being the last official season of the 037, because the Delta S4 was already in development for the 1986 season.

Mr Baggio claims to have the original invoice which he cannot find, the reality is that Vin 203 has been paid cash and that is the reason why it was not registered in Italy since no invoice, no registration…

Then Vin 203 raced under different plates VI 580899 (vin 073) – VI 540110 (vin 308) as well as the official targa #TO W67771# (which belong to Martini 037 vin 403) and finally with the official targa TO Y63864 (which belong to Martini 037 vin 310) during the 1986/87/88 seasons!

Why 2 Martini works  registration plates use by the team RaceDay ?

We contacted Abarth to find out why the factory plate TO W67771 & TO Y63864 was used on the 203 Vin and they don’t know why!

Theses plates were loaned by Abarth to Paolo Baggio to be used on the Lancia 037 vin 203 Group B prototype since this car was not registered!1985 We don’t known the exact date when Paolo Baggio bought 203

In 2014, Paolo Baggio brought this Gr B to KSport Italy to receive a new FIA Roll cage approved. The car was refresh by KSport and this one confirms the extreme originality of the 203 which still has all the specific magnesium parts from the holy era.

Never in an accident, it’s a car and a reference of originality.

compare his chassis number stamp with other 037 !

In 2018, after 33 years with the Rally Team “RaceDay” of Paolo Baggio, 203 was finally sold to a collector from Venice, Italy.
